John Conyers Home Symbolic of Detroit? Or His Failure To Represent Michigan? Posted: 23 Jun 2011 07:20 AM PDT I saw this video today and almost cried. John Conyers, the long time representative to the House of Representatives from Michigan, had his house featured on a local news station. Let's just put it this way. In a fancy golf club community he has a home that is falling apart. Obviously this home is a placeholder for the family. A place they can say they live in just to fulfill the residency requirements to continue to be elected to Congress. But it is not the family home. The grass unmowed, parts falling off the house, and in a state of disrepair that neighbors are complaining. Just watch for yourself:
Detroit Neighborhood: John Conyers House is an Eyesore: MyFoxDETROIT.com It is a telling symbol of our times. John Conyers is not a resident of Michigan, he is a resident of Washington. He just uses Michigan to get the power he desires as many of his fellow compatriots in Washington D.C. do. Thanks for reading this post.
