Modern and Unique Interior Design of Recto Verso Apartment by H2O Architectes Posted: 06 Jun 2010 09:30 PM PDT This is  a 60  sq m apartment renovation project done by H2O Architectes for a comic collector in Paris. The interior design provides a place where the owner can show the collection of his comic book collections. The apartment itself was a dilapidated apartment.It has unusual geometry shape. The unique of the design is the unusual wall structure that can be used as bookshelves. White color paint is dominated along the wall, while the back wall of the bookshelves is painted on black color or another contrast colors to highlight the comic book. ref 1 2

Modern and Simple Design of H House by Wiel Arets Architects Posted: 06 Jun 2010 06:39 PM PDT A modern and simple design of house called H House was made by Wiel Arets for a couple of artists, a dancer and an actor. This design provide maximal surrounding views by its glazing walls. It was built in a leafy area of Maastricht. There is a garden behind the house. The garden is opened to public. The exterior was designed to be not having structural walls. The house only has a few rectengular column to support the house’s slab, which have been positioned to minimize impact. They use glazing walls for this house, providing optimal views and also daylighting for the house. To protect privacy, they use curtains to cover the glazing walls. The combination of transparent and opaque glass, as well as the sliding and fixed portion of the façade, creates a number of different possible responses to the changing of the seasons and the fading of daylight. The interior was designed as primarily a single loft- like space. It has a central mezzanine. The bathroom and the entrance,  which are two small independent volumes in this house,  are adjacent to this main volume. The house's stair is an independent object within this loft-like setting. The terraces have their own separate character, so it is used to define the position of the house. The spaces of the house are suffused with richness due to the layering of this unadorned configuration, the combination of materials and the variations in use. second floor plan ground floor plan ref 1 2
