Energy star appliances are also used, providing good energy efficiency. The green construction were done by using several sustainable materials, such as triple-pane Serious Windows 725 Series, FSC-certified framing lumber and plywood, good insulation both on roof and walls, locally-sourced slate, regionally-sourced red oak floors, water-based low-VOC finish, etc. The roof is white, helps to reflect the sun heat. This environmental green building is ready for sustainable energy from sun light. It is also completed with 1,100-gallon rainwater harvesting system to conserve water. |
