Green Architecture of L71 House by OFFICE AT Posted: 01 Jun 2012 08:08 AM PDT L71 House is a sustainable home designed by OFFICE AT. This green architecture building is located in northeastern side of Bangkok, Thailand, on a narrow long shape site. Some sustainable features have been applied, especially to provide good temperature control for the house.
This eco construction is divided into two parts, the public area for gathering with colleagues, in front of the house, and the private area behind. All the house’s programs such as bedrooms, dining room, and family room are set to face north, along the site. The second floor are extended to provide shading for terrace and the pool. Thissustainable home is designed with some sustainable features. Each rooms of this house are splitted to provide maximal ventilation and natural lighting. This splitted design also provide some semi outdoor spaces that interlock indoor and outdoor space. The roof is double-roof type to deal with the weather changes, reinforced concrete slab for the lower roof and metal sheet roof for the upper roof. The space between them will create other natural ventilation area. Some natural materials are used here, inserted into each splitted space, such as water, grass and wood.
