Sustainable Prefab of BeachHaus I by InHaus Development Posted: 21 May 2012 10:22 PM PDT BeachHaus I is a sustainable prefab house, a project by InHaus Development. It is located in the White Rock area of British Columbia. It features a modern and lux design completed with sustainable design. It is now in a process of achieving LEED certification from the CAGBC.
This green architecture project was designed by Pb Elemental and prefabricated by Method Homes as four modules building. All of these are the project of InHaus Development, including the BeachHaus II. It has three bedrooms, two full bathrooms, two half bathrooms, a two-car garage. Some sustainable features were provided for this eco construction. The house is completed with dual-pane low-E windows, an air-to-water heat exchange system, soy-based spray foam insulation, an automatic skylight, etc. The using of energy is controlled and monitored. The home is also controlled by Control4 home automation. This sustainable architecture building is completed with rainwater harvesting system as its water source. All appliances used are taken from water and energy efficient, including the landscaping. Green materials are taken from FSC-certified woods, bamboos, etc. There is also heat recovery ventilation system.
