This sustainable house design was built by involving several sustainable features, so it can provide more energy than its consumption on yearly basis, thanks to 14.2 kW Uni-Solar Flex-Lite amorphous silica (peel and stick) array. This environmentally friendly house also adopt passive technology and some other eco friendly and energy efficient features to support the sustainability of this house.

The architecture design was done very carefully by considering the large existing trees which their shadow lines can help protecting the home from Florida sun. The location itself is located adjacent to one of the areas only hardwood swamps that stretches into a natural wetland. By using local green housing materials, such as cypress wood materials, FSC certified hardwood, etc, this design also provide amazing views from each rooms, without harming the environment.

The wall is a standard CMU construction, completed with foam insulation filled within the open cells of the CMU block (R-15) and VR-Plus II permeable radiant barrier (R-7.2) to fight against thermal bridging. Closed cell bio-based R-30 spray foam insulation is also used as moisture barrier to counter the Florida humidity, supporting the dehumidification system.

Green technology is also applied, including the using of Apple iPhone or iPad technology connected to a Home Logic interface, to provide easy operation of all of this home's advanced features. Energy Star appliances and LED lighting are a must. A tankless hybrid water heater is also provided.
