Solar Heating Roof by SolTech Energy Posted: 22 Oct 2010 08:59 PM PDT To create a green building, sometimes people need a lot of resources. It will be helpful if there are some integrated building materials which can provide sustainable feature, like this glass roof tile , product of SolTech Energy.
This roof is made from glass with special absorption fabric that can absorb the sun’s ray. The roof tile will heat the air passed through the column below the tile. The energy is then ready to be used for several heating units in the house, both air based and water based. This roof tile has natural aversion of snow. This roof tile is also UV resistance and has better strength than ordinary roof tile. The optimal slope for this roof tile should be 30 degrees. But at 15 degrees, the roof will still work well. The facing should be to the south to maximize the sun capture. |
