Luxurious Interior Design of Sitaras Fitness by Nema Workshop Posted: 09 Oct 2010 10:44 PM PDT Nema Workshop designed a luxurious interior design for Sitaras Fitness, a gym by John Sitaras, located in midtown Manhattan.
Sitaras Fitness is a state-of-the-art private gym, with several exclusive members, located in a duplex space in the 11th and 12th floors of a building. The training is usually done one-on-one, so there will be few trainer-client pairs at any time. Upon entering the fitness sanctuary, one looks out onto a 3,000 square foot biodynamic landscaped terrace. The restorative atmosphere runs throughout the training area and the changing rooms. Giant personal pods upholstered by soft blue leather are located between the lockers, as the alternative for locker room benches.
The stairs are hanged with cables, allow the floors to merge seamlessly. This stair leads to the lower level, the exercise room. This exercise room is designed so it can be flexibly changed, considering the upgrades of the equipment.
The changing area is white and creme-brown in color, giving an elegant and simple feel. The shower room’s wall is covered with blue ceramic tile, giving a contrast color to the surroundings.
