Casa de Cerveira by dEMM Arquitectura Posted: 15 Jul 2010 11:48 PM PDT Another weekend house has been designed by dEMM Arquitectura, Casa de Cerveira. Again, indoor and outdoor activities are considered and are integrated by the design. This house has a simple design but modern and elegant.
To provide better integration between outdoor and indoor, also to provide better views and natural lighting, some glasses are used, opened to the pool area of the house. This can create thin border between indoor and outdoor. Some curtains keep the privacy of the owner. The basement floor is coated by stone. This makes contrast to the building, in the color and texture where the building is dominated by white color and smoother texture. The upper floor is divided in two volumes, that intersect in the axis of horizontal and vertical circulation, conferring efficiency to the space articulation. The outdoor space is designed to be used as a relaxation places, with a pool. The interior is designed very simple, but still modern. A space where a plant is grown is located near the dining table, makes the situation fresher. |
