Green Architecture Design of BF House by OAB + ADI Posted: 17 Sep 2012 11:00 PM PDT BF House is actually a green architecture house designed by OAB + ADI with prefab design concept. This design is done to minimize the environment disturbances during construction periode, respecting the land. Some sustainable features are also applied to achieve high sustainability.
This eco construction was built on a plot of 3,000sqm with a height of 25m, in a Castellón neighborhood that is only 50% constructed. The construction process was done very carefully with prefab design, without cutting down trees, and take advantages from existing terraces / gardens which were rebuilt in in the damaged areas. Some parts are buried, such as garage and auxiliary areas, to provide more spaces on planting native vegetation. With prefab design, the structure of this sustainable building, made from metal materials, can be built in factory, and send to the site in large pieces. The back part of this house is supported by an existing large stone terrace. The outside facade is finished with corrugated sheet metal to minimize glare and heat. The front part of this house may provide natural daylighting and maximal views, also to control the sun’s heat. Air conditioner can be minimized, thanks to the natural ventilation system, provided by the Air currents cross the patio. Sustainable energy from solar panels is used to heat the water for the house. There is an intermediate courtyard under this eco construction, surrounded by the four sides of the house, so each room in the house can be seen from the courtyard's central location. The kitchen, living room and master bedroom are covered in the large front area. With a lot of native vegetations planted, this house looks very green and can be hidden from the surroundings.
