Unique Design of Villa Trottaberg 5.31 by Alberdo Gonzalez Posted: 08 Jul 2010 08:55 PM PDT This villa is located at Halmstad, Sweden, designed by Alberdo Gonzalez. The concept is to create a house that can provide a good harmony with the landscape.
The construction of the house consists of two parts, a rectangular core and a protective layer folding over itself. In this way the protective layer cooperates with the house construction. A composition of wall-and-beam system cares for the primal load bearing while the secondary load bearing system is the protective layer. The definition of the concept is to create a building where the protective layer is conceived as a wrapping-of-space composition, supported by a wall- and I-beam system.
This unique house has 4 main area, the ground floor, which the entrance is located, the stair that connects the ground floor and the other floor, the upper floor, and the folding roof. Some public areas are located in the ground floor, such as kitchen, guest room, laundry room, etc while the private areas are located in the upper floor. There are two axes at the entrance floor. The first axis starts at the main entrance and stretches along the house, ending with the fireplace in the living room. The second axis stretches from the private entrance, along the concrete wall and ends in the living room. For the second floor, the main axis follows from the balcony, over the garage and ends in a French balcony at the East, with a little displacement at the stairs.
