Jub Research Facility by Andrej Kalamar Posted: 26 Jun 2010 09:24 AM PDT This building is designed by Andrej Kalamar on a 3,100 sq m site in Ljubljana. It is a research centre for plaster facade technologies. There are 4 floors in this building. The ground floor comprises an applicative classroom, a two-storey show house and specialized testing chambers with simulated real and extreme weather conditions. The upper floors comprise some laboratories. The research facade testing  area is located on the south elevation. 16 separate test cells are provided for online measuring of various parameters and their impact on the facade, such as : controlled temperature, moisture, sunlight and wind speed changes. Each cell has different color scheme. the test cell The east and west elevation are finished in white plaster Jub facades, complete with white window frames and shades. North elevation becomes a test ground for the newly developed stenciled facade. A dynamic white pattern is applied over neutral concrete foundation, enfolding the structure’s base into an oscillation of white points. the north side siteplan floor plan for ground and 1st floor floor plan for 2nd and 3rd floor

This chair is called Cloud. Imagine, sitting on a cloud…. The curvy form of this chair is inspired from the for of cloud. It has a unique feature, the hidden rail. By this feature, the chair can be slide to provide more comfortable position, and adapt with the user’s posture. slide on its hidden rail - change its position The chair is designed in a modest dimension. The contemporary design still affected by the 1950′s design slightly. Materials  used for this chair  are white fabric (37% polyester, 27% cotton, 36% acrylic),  lacquered steel for the base, and  UK Standard Foam (100% polyurethane) for the upholstery.
